Michael Müller-Kasztelan made his role debut as Tannhäuser at Theater Kiel in September 2026, following his appearances as Paul in Korngold’s Die tote Stadt at the Slovak National Opera in Bratislava.
His core repertoire includes Tannhäuser, Paul, Florestan, Erik, Bacchus and Max, combining the German dramatic repertoire with a particular affinity for Wagner, Strauss and Korngold.
A member of the ensemble at Theater Kiel since 2009, Müller-Kasztelan has appeared as a guest at numerous opera houses and concert halls – nationally and internationally.
He is also a committed interpreter of song recitals and contemporary opera and has created principal tenor roles in world premieres by Jüri Reinvere, Marco Tutino, Cristóbal Halffter, Volker David Kirchner.
